Volleyball Recap: O'connor Takes Down Ranked Salpointe Catholic

On Friday, O'Connor faced Salpointe Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The O'Connor Eagles had just enough and edged out the Salpointe Catholic Lancers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 6, 2024.

O'Connor has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Salpointe Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-6.

O'Connor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Salpointe Catholic on the 15th. As for Salpointe Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Gilbert on the 14th.
