Volleyball Recap: Bonita Beats Rancho Cucamonga for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Bonita waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars. While the Bearcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bonita was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-23, 18-25, 25-20.

Bonita got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shyanne McCutcheon out in front who had 13 digs and four aces. That's the most aces McCutcheon has posted over her last six contests. Another player making a difference was Cassidy Howard, who had four digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Bonita was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

Bonita's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonita will venture away from home to square off against Charter Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they will face off against Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
