Baseball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 23-3 to the Hayesville Yellowjackets. The Braves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Cherokee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Beam, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hayesville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

While Cherokee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
