Soccer Recap: St. John XXIII Takes a Loss

St. John XXIII lost against St. Thomas Catholic back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. John XXIII Lions came up short against the St. Thomas Catholic Eagles, falling 10-1. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly nine goals.

St. John XXIII now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Thomas Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-1-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the St. John XXIII face off against the St. Pius X at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Thomas Catholic, they will welcome Concordia Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Thomas Catholic has three straight victories, Concordia Lutheran has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
