Basketball Recap: Ribault Has No Trouble Against Riverside

Ribault won the last time they faced Riverside and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 79-54 margin over the Generals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Brandon McCoy went supernova, going 8-for-14 on his way to 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high. Roderick Love was another key player, putting up eight points and eight assists.

Several Generals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Temari Roberts, who shot 44% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards.

Ribault's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Riverside, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Ribault has already played their next matchup, a 70-69 loss against University Christian on the 20th. As for Riverside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-37 win against Englewood on the 20th.
