Basketball Recap: Comanche Indians vs. Marlow Outlaws
The Comanche Indians lost against the Marlow Outlaws back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Comanche received a tough blow as they fell 40-25 to the Outlaws. While losing is never fun, Comanche can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Outlaws are ranked 52nd).
Marlow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Blayd Harris out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Boomer Brooks was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Comanche dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Marlow, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comanche will take on the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marlow, they will be playing at home against the Dragons at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
