Basketball Recap: Cromwell Comes Up Short

After flying high against Floodwood last Tuesday, Cromwell came back down to earth. The Cromwell Cardinals took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barnum Bombers on Friday. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cromwell lost, don't look at Dylan Nyberg. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 on his way to 20 points. With that strong performance, Nyberg is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Brady Dahl was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Barnum, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Cromwell will head out to square off against Carlton/Wrenshall at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barnum, they will square off against Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
