Softball Recap: Morton/White Pass Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wahkiakum

Morton/White Pass had lost seven games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 7-11 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Wahkiakum Mules with a sharp 29-17 victory. The Timberwolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Wahkiakum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-1. Even if they couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

For Wahkiakum's part, Evy Hogue made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Amy Horman, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, Morton/White Pass will head out on the road to face off against Adna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wahkiakum will be paying especially close attention to the Timberwolves' match: after the Timberwolves face off against North Beach, they'll take on Wahkiakum again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
