Elm Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Twin Loup with a sharp 3-0 win.

Elm Creek walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Gibbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against Overton, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-8.

Gibbon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Elm Creek, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Elm Creek took their victory against Gibbon when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elm Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
