Basketball Recap: Chestnut Ridge Find Success

Chestnut Ridge hadn't done well against Bishop Carroll recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Chestnut Ridge Lions walked away with a 67-58 win over the Bishop Carroll Huskies. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 74-58 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bishop Carroll still got an impressive performance from Jace Casses, who went 11 for 21 on his way to 29 points. Casses' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Gus Becquet was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

The win made it two in a row for Chestnut Ridge and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Bishop Carroll, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.

Chestnut Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 113-56 victory against Somerset on the 29th. As for Bishop Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-65 win against Westmont Hilltop on the 29th.
