Volleyball Recap: South Park Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for South Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past the Lake County Panthers 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Burros as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

South Park had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Aubri Charles paced South Park's offense, picking up five kills. Charles got some help from Cali Fogelsonger and her 13 assists. Finally, Kayla Fikejs kept South Park's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

South Park's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Lake County, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.

South Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Monte Vista on the 1st.
