Softball Game Preview: Leonard Lancers vs. Royal Palm Beach Wildcats

For the second straight game, Leonard will face off against Royal Palm Beach. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leonard knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Royal Palm Beach likes a good challenge.

Leonard made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Royal Palm Beach, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Leonard was the clear victor by a 19-13 margin over Royal Palm Beach last Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Meghan Stimson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Arianna Sheerer was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.

Leonard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .536 or higher in six consecutive games.

Royal Palm Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Leonard, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
