Football Recap: Jesse Molina Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bel Air

Parkland not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 48-14). They were the clear victors by a 42-21 margin over the Bel Air Highlanders. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Parkland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jesse Molina out in front who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing touchdowns Molina has posted since back in November of 2024. Jamal Rocha was Molina's top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Parkland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 288 rushing yards. They are 2-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Bernie Martinez and Marquette Beard certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Martinez rushed for 96 yards and one score, while Beard rushed for 59 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Parkland's record is now 2-4. As for Bel Air, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Parkland will take on rival El Dorado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 862 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Bel Air is set to challenge their familiar foe Americas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
