Baseball Game Preview: Anclote Sharks vs. Hudson Cobras

Anclote is 1-9 against Hudson since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Anclote Sharks will head out to challenge the Hudson Cobras at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Anclote's offense. They came up short against Sunlake on Thursday, falling 9-0. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anclote saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Langley, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-0 to Nature Coast Tech.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Anclote, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Anclote has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hudson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Anclote came up short against Hudson in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 15-10. Can Anclote avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
