Basketball Recap: Warren Township Skates Past Zion-Benton with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Warren Township over Zion-Benton in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Warren Township Blue Devils blew the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees out of the water with a 55-20 final score. With the Blue Devils ahead 26-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Zion-Benton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of London Davis, who posted six points and five rebounds, and Alexi Santana, who put up no points. Davis continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Warren Township moved to 4-20 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak. As for Zion-Benton, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22.

Warren Township has already played their next match, a 67-38 defeat against Evanston on the 1st. As for Zion-Benton, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Zurich at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
