Softball Recap: Cumberland Gap Comes Up Short

Cumberland Gap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the Gibbs Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.

Cumberland Gap's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gibbs, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Cumberland Gap will face off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gibbs, they will take on Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Halls will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Gibbs surely won't give up without a fight.
