Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Boys & Girls Kangaroos

The Lincoln Railsplitters will head out to square off against the Boys & Girls Kangaroos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lincoln will head into Tuesday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Eagle Academy II and fell 77-45. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Eagle are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Boys & Girls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 58-51 to South Shore.

Boys & Girls' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Lincoln suffered a grim 75-55 defeat to Boys & Girls in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
