Basketball Recap: Riverheads Takes a Loss

Riverheads lost against Central Woodstock back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverheads Gladiators took a blow against the Central Woodstock Falcons, falling 99-59. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Falcons are ranked 84th).

Riverheads has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. The win was the eighth in a row for Central Woodstock, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Riverheads does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Woodstock, they will challenge Fort Defiance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
