Recap: McCormick Chiefs vs. Whitmire Wolverines
The McCormick Chiefs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-28 win over Whitmire at home. McCormick has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Whitmire saw an underclassman step up: Brooklynn Babb scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Babb has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaileigh Womack, who scored four points.
The win got McCormick back to even at 6-6. As for Whitmire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCormick the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Whitmire will take on Ware Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
