Volleyball Recap: Morton Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Limestone

Morton faced Limestone in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Potters fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1. The Potters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Morton sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-21.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morton fell to 8-1. As for Limestone, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Looking ahead, Morton will challenge Crete-Monee at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Limestone, they will take on Metamora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
