Softball Recap: Harrisburg Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Harrisburg won the last time they faced Manila and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Lions by a score of 7-3.

Hawlee Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hannah Mross, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofie Mooney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Harrisburg pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Manila, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
