Basketball Game Preview: Lovington Wildcats vs. Artesia Bulldogs

Lovington is 1-9 against Artesia since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lovington Wildcats will be playing at home against the Artesia Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.

Lovington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Portales on Friday. They had to suffer through a 55-15 loss at the hands of the Rams. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Artesia strolled past Goddard with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-41.

Artesia's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Lovington, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.

Lovington took their win against Artesia in their previous matchup last Friday by a conclusive 62-41. Does Lovington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Artesia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
