Basketball Game Preview: Hyde Park Thunderbirds vs. Curie Condors

Hyde Park hasn't had much luck against Curie recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hyde Park Thunderbirds take on the Curie Condors at 5:00 p.m.

Hyde Park is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They fell 57-48 to Lincoln. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 140th in Illinois, while the Abes are ranked 13th in Michigan).

Meanwhile, Curie beat Dyett 57-49 on Saturday.

Curie is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Hyde Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Hyde Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Curie when the teams last played back in January of 2023, sneaking past 2-0. Does Hyde Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Curie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
