Basketball Recap: Foster Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Foster dropped to 6-2 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Bend Elkins Knights. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 72-47 to the Knights when the teams met back in December of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Foster still got an impressive performance from David Tobar, who shot 75% from the field on his way to 16 points. Tobar continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Camran Bateman, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards.

As for Fort Bend Elkins, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games.

Fort Bend Elkins' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Ekpo, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Myles Allen was another key player, putting up nine points.

Foster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-58 loss against Katy on the 6th. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they will square off against Fort Bend Kempner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
