West Stanly entered their tilt with South Iredell on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They skirted past the Vikings 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Colts have posted since April 9, 2024.

Saylor Edwards was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Laney Tucker was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

West Stanly's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for South Iredell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

West Stanly wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Piedmont on the 21st. As for South Iredell, they will be playing at home against Lake Norman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
