Basketball Recap: Edgewood-Colesburg's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Edgewood-Colesburg lost against Maquoketa Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Edgewood-Colesburg now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Maquoketa Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Edgewood-Colesburg will be home for the holidays to greet Starmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maquoketa Valley will take on North Linn in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Linn will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Maquoketa Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
