Rocky Mountain Lutheran has gone a perfect 3-0 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles will welcome the Jefferson Saints at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rocky Mountain Lutheran's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Clear Creek by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Blake Harris made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Noah Lile was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gavin Borchardt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Jefferson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Denver West on Tuesday. Jefferson blew past Denver West 18-1.
Like Rocky Mountain Lutheran, Jefferson also got a great game from a two-way player: Demetrius Martinez. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martinez was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AJ Alvarado, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Humberto Carao Garcia was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Jefferson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver West only posted an OBP of .297.
Jefferson's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Rocky Mountain Lutheran was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. Does Rocky Mountain Lutheran have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jefferson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
