Basketball Recap: Greisy Perdomo Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

Coral Park hadn't done well against Coral Reef recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Coral Park Rams walked away with a 31-21 win over the Coral Reef Barracudas. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Barracudas back in December of 2024, they had to take a 37-29 defeat.

Coral Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Greisy Perdomo, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 steals. Perdomo is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Elisabel Diconzo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Despite the loss, Coral Reef saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tayler Jackson posted six points and seven steals.

Coral Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Coral Reef, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Coral Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-39 win against South Miami on the 15th. As for Coral Reef, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-9 loss against Ferguson on the 15th.
