Basketball Recap: Wabash Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Wabash lost against Oak Hill back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wabash Apaches fell 40-29 to the Oak Hill Golden Eagles. The matchup marked the Apaches' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Wabash had strong showings from Anna Daughtry, who posted nine points, and Janika Stumbo, who earned six points and five rebounds. Daughtry is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Wabash's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Oak Hill, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wabash will host Northfield at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Northfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Wabash surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Hill, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Oak Hill Golden Eagles take on the Frankton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
