Basketball Recap: Haxtun Beats Idalia for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Haxtun extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Chase Goddard. The Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs blew past the Idalia Wolves 59-30 on Friday thanks to Goddard, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Madden Larsen, who posted 12 points and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Idalia's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolby Morris, who had 13 points and five boards.

Haxtun's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Idalia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Haxtun didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-49 win against Caliche on the 15th. As for Idalia, they will welcome Stratton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
