Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Eagles vs. University Titans
The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the University Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Trinity Christian Academy and 18 for University.
Trinity Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 11, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Foundation Academy 58-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian Academy in their matchups with Foundation Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for University, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-36 loss to Seabreeze on Thursday.
University's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alexis Hall, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, and Idalia Blair who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Reiter, who scored six points.
Trinity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for University, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
Trinity Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 69-32 defeat at the hands of University in their previous meeting back in December of 2020. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Trinity Christian Academy was down 48-14.
