Basketball Game Preview: Paulding Panthers vs. Archbold Blue Streaks

The Paulding Panthers will challenge the Archbold Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Archbold took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Paulding, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Paulding took on Jefferson on Monday. Paulding enjoyed a cozy 51-34 victory over Jefferson. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Wildcats are ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Archbold has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Wauseon.

The win made it two in a row for Paulding and bumps their season record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Archbold, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
