Basketball Recap: Cuba-Rushford Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cuba-Rushford entered their match against Fillmore on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cuba-Rushford Rebels fell to the Fillmore Eagles 54-49. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Eagles are ranked 106th).

Cuba-Rushford's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Fillmore, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuba-Rushford has already played their next game (against Genesee Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Fillmore Eagles face off against the Friendship Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
