Preview: Terrell County Greenwave vs. Stewart County Royal Knights
Terrell County is 10-0 against Stewart County since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Terrell County Greenwave will head out on the road to square off against the Stewart County Royal Knights at 7:30 p.m. Stewart County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Terrell County, who comes in off a win.
On Saturday, Terrell County strolled past Pataula Charter Academy with points to spare, taking the game 70-54.
It was another big night for Keavonte Anderson, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Carter, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Stewart County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Seminole County, falling 82-36. While losing is never fun, Stewart County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Seminole County is ranked 142nd).
Terrell County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Stewart County, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
Everything came up roses for Terrell County against Stewart County when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 72-32 win. With Terrell County ahead 44-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
