Volleyball Recap: Washington Falls Despite Big Games from Brooke Stellhorn and Adriana Grassi

Washington was the 3-0 winner over Pacific when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Bluejays fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Despite the loss, Washington had strong showings from Adriana Grassi, who had 12 digs, and Brooke Stellhorn, who had seven kills, three digs, and one block. That block was Stellhorn's first of the season.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Pacific, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-4-1.

Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Southern Boone on the 4th. As for Pacific, they will be playing at home against Sullivan at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
