Volleyball Recap: Romeoville Takes a Loss

Romeoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oswego Panthers. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19.

Arianna Thomas paced Romeoville's offense, picking up six kills. Thomas got some help from Kara Mark and her six assists. Thomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Romeoville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Oswego, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Romeoville has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Reavis on the 18th. As for Oswego, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Rosary on the 17th.
