League recap: Moore overpowering for North Marion in past week

4A Tri-Valley league recap: 5/21/12

Wyatt Moore was the best pitcher in 4A Tri-Valley this week, leading North Marion. Over the past week, he had two wins and 27 Ks.

Moore was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .323 average with 19 RBIs. The Huskies compiled a record of 0-1 in that time.

La Salle's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 11 hits and five walks, both of which led the league. On the season, the Falcons have allowed just 149 hits, while striking out 184 batters. Sean Hays leads the Falcons with 62 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched.

North Marion sprayed a league-best 144 hits this week, but still trails La Salle, which holds the season lead in base knocks with 210. Zach Williamson has a team-best 34 hits this year, and the Huskies went 0-1 this week.

North Marion's Williamson finished his week with 27 hits, tops in the league. His 34 hits for the year are first in the league, and he boasts a .395 batting average.
