Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mammoth Spring last Thursday, Marshall came back down to earth. Marshall fell just short of the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs by a score of 5-4 on Friday.

Marshall's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Buffalo Island Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Marshall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Calico Rock on the 29th. As for Buffalo Island Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Magazine on the 29th.
