Arrowhead faced Slinger in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warhawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Owls, sneaking past 2-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory back in September.

Leila Arens paced Arrowhead's offense, picking up nine kills. Arens got some help from Taylor Wold and her 25 assists. Wold also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Siena MacCudden, each putting up two.

Arrowhead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season. As for Slinger, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 20-12 record.

Looking ahead, Arrowhead will face off against Muskego at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Slinger, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Divine Savior Holy Angels on the 11th.
