Softball Recap: Mayfield Comes Up Short

Mayfield lost against Graves County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mayfield came up short against Graves County, falling 21-1. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Graves County, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mayfield will host Hickman County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mayfield's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hickman County has averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Graves County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ballard Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
