Soccer Game Preview: Burbank vs. Brackenridge

The Burbank Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Brackenridge Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, it was close, but Burbank sidestepped Highlands for a 2-1 victory.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Brackenridge duked it out with Highlands on Tuesday. Brackenridge never let Highlands onto the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Francisco Alamillo was the driving force of Brackenridge's attack as he scored both of Brackenridge's goals, bringing his season total up to 18 goals.

Burbank is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Brackenridge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Burbank beat Brackenridge 3-1 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Burbank since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
