Basketball Recap: Magna Vista Takes a Loss

Magna Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the George Washington Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Eagles are ranked 30th).

Magna Vista's record is now 4-16. As for George Washington, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magna Vista will challenge Halifax County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Halifax County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Magna Vista likes a good challenge. As for George Washington, they will square off against Tunstall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
