Softball Preview: Roosevelt Presidents vs. Rondout Valley Ganders        
        
		
            
 Roosevelt is 5-0 against Rondout Valley since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Wednesday. The Roosevelt Presidents will head out on the road to  face off against  the Rondout Valley Ganders at 4:15  p.m. Roosevelt will be strutting in after a  victory while Rondout Valley will be coming in after a  loss.
 On Tuesday, Roosevelt beat Wallkill 8-3. That five run margin sets a new team best for Roosevelt this season.
  Kayla Baez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits. Baez was also big at the plate,  going 5-for-5 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Jax Sweed was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Abbey Greenspan, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Rondout Valley is still looking for their first win of the season after four  contests. Their  tough  18-6 defeat to Marlboro Central  on Tuesday might stick with them for a while.
 Roosevelt now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rondout Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Roosevelt skirted past Rondout Valley  3-2 when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roosevelt since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
