Basketball Recap: Akiak Takes a Loss

After soaring to 60 points the game before, Akiak was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethel Warriors. The match marked the Thunderbolts' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Akiak's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Bethel, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Akiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel, they will face off against Nome-Beltz at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nome-Beltz is on a four-game streak of home wins, Bethel a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
