Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Wake Forest's Fifth in Last Six Outings

It was a proper cat-fight when Wake Forest faced off against Millbrook on Monday. The Cougars walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Wildcats. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Wake Forest got a great performance from Jackson Hardy as he pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Ian Williams was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Antonio Parrino was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Wake Forest is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Millbrook, they moved to 16-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Wake Forest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
