Copper Canyon had to endure a 14-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Metro Tech Knights by a score of 33-25 on Wednesday. The Aztecs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dianely Granados, who posted seven points and ten boards. Lesley Diaz also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Copper Canyon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Metro Tech, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.
