Baseball Recap: Henryetta Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Henryetta ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Weleetka Outlaws 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Outlaws: they've now won eight in a row.

Landen Jones and James Joslin did most of the damage at the plate: Jones went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Joslin went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Joslin has posted over his last eight matchups. Another player making a difference was Boston Morris, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Henryetta's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Weleetka, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-14-1.

Coming up, Henryetta will face off against Okemah at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weleetka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
