Softball Recap: San Gorgonio Takes a Loss

San Gorgonio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bloomington Bruins. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bruins earlier this season, when they won 11-0.

San Gorgonio saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mylia Laban, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

San Gorgonio's loss dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for Bloomington, they moved to 3-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

San Gorgonio does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bloomington, they will head out to take on Colton at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
