It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Arvada West can now relate to. They came up short against the Regis Jesuit Raiders on Friday, falling 11-5. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Arvada West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Vais, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Beau Friesen was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Arvada West's loss dropped their record down to 22-3-1. As for Regis Jesuit, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Arvada West will take on Rocky Mountain at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lobos have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Regis Jesuit, they will face off against Cherry Creek at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
