Baseball Recap: Anderson Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Anderson's offense. They fell just short of the Kings Knights by a score of 2-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raptors have suffered since May 16, 2024.

Connor Fecher was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Anderson dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.25 runs. As for Kings, their record is now 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson will venture away from home to face off against Carlisle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kings, they will head out to take on Little Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
